Map of US highway 60 and family, and US 412

US 60 is represented by the purple line beginning in Virginia Beach VA. Its western terminus is currently near Brenda AZ; the red line extending west of there to Los Angeles CA is the historic extent of US 60.

US 160 is the blue line from Tuba City AZ to near Poplar Bluff MO. West of Cortez CO, US 160 used to follow the red line to Crescent Jct UT.

US 260 (historic) is the red line from Holbrook AZ to Deming NM.

US 360 is the blue line from Reedville to Danville VA.

US 460 is the blue line from Norfolk VA to Frankfort KY. The red line extending west of there to St. Louis MO is the historic extent of US 460.

US 412 is also shown on this map (the green line from Columbia TN to Springer NM). Because its number is a major violation of US route numbering conventions, I included it on this map to demonstrate how the highway would fit into the US 60 family, if it were to be assigned a number US x60. (This is just one of several other possibilities that make more sense than 412; I've also included the route on the maps for US 56, US 62, US 64, and US 70).
